Dear readers,
Dear partners,
Our September issue could not be opening under better auspices as we begin
with a letter penned by Michèle Morgan, a charming and elegant honorary
sponsor for Luxe Immo, which is two years old on 22 September 2011.
To celebrate the occasion there will be a very special evening aboard Nomad, a
luxury yacht that has kindly been made available to us by our partner Fraser
Yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show. Make sure to pick up our next edition to see
the exclusive images of this glittering reception which will be attended by prestigious
guests, including our advertisers and partners.
This month a major report propels you into the vast territory of China to give you
a glimpse of the latest news from the Chinese property market and its future
potential. Four companies involved in the sector talk about their experiences and
specific objectives.
Our arts section brings together a selection of works by Fiona, Julien Gardair,
Timothy Kent, Walter Passarella, Scott Reeds, Andres Serrano, Masha Shubina and Natacha Toutain. You will also find
these artists in our L.I. ART Collection, the theme this month being “Portraits and silhouettes”.
A special mention here for the work by Andres Serrano, a controversial artist who attracted much opprobrium from the
crowds for his work entitled Piss Christ, which was eventually destroyed by opponents during an exhibition at the
Collection Lambert in Avignon.
In New York, the CATM Gallery presents Art Live 2011, an annual exhibition with the ambitious goal of addressing global
problems through the language of art.
We move on to meet up with three talented New York residents: Jacob Sebag, a renowned corporate lawyer full of
energy and enthusiasm; Heidi Lee, a consultant on emerging contemporary art; and finally the resolutely glamorous
Barbara Tate who talks about one of her interior design projects.
If you love history, you will learn more about Cyrus the Great, the great conqueror who has breathed a spirit of conquest
into the brand new Cyrus brand, which designs and markets prestigious watches.
THG, the company behind world-renowned luxury items for the home, and French jeweller for bathroom accessories,
will also be present at the Monaco Yacht Show, as it has supplied many of the world’s biggest yachts and luxury
hotels.
Golf enthusiasts will enjoy reading the Ultra Golf de Chamonix report, an event supported by top level partners and
which is much appreciated by connoisseurs.
On the real estate side, we have again some exceptional properties to show you, including two magnificent apartments
with panoramic views in Monaco, an elegant property in Villefranche-sur-Mer, a luxury villa on the sea front in Antibes,
a superbly renovated manor in Calvi and another fabulous manor house, this one from the end of the 18th century,
between Antwerp and Brussels.
In this whirlwind of new discoveries you can forget for a moment the weighty obligations awaiting you after the holidays
and continue to dream as you peruse the pages of our magazine.
Happy reading!
