As another year dawns, how many of you will be bowing to that time-honoured tradition to make worthy resolutions for the coming 12 months, resolutions that are not always easy to keep. So this year why not relax and be carried along by the surprises that 2012 has in store - certainly this 19th edition of Luxe Immo contains numerous surprises.
To add a little sparkle to January you will discover the “master jewellers”. Behind their paint brushes lies a talent for jewellery, people like Miró, Dalí and even Roy Liechtenstein were not only great painters but also big fans of precious stones. In discovering their pieces we unveil a whole other, more intimate, dimension to their talent.
We also meet Ora Ito, a prodigy of French design who reveals his exciting collaboration with the great cosmetic masters like Guerlain and Fred Farrugia.
Good resolutions mean good initiatives and once again the association Ladies Lunch Monte-Carlo proved their generosity in organising a luncheon in aid of the Association d’Amore Psy, which supports families and friends of people with a psychiatric illness who live in Monaco. We were there for you at this event.
This New Year we must not forget one of our main vocations to keep you posted on major events in the contemporary arts calendar. Luxe Immo relives highlights from the 5th edition of Art Elysées.
The Principality is again guest of honour in our magazine. The Monaco Special throws the spotlight on institutions and companies in the Principality and the star this month is the Automobile Club de Monaco.
Why not begin 2012 by starting an art collection? Ekaterina and Vladimir Semenikhine, Russian collectors settled in Monaco unveil their secrets when it comes to flushing out that illusive masterpiece which will make the difference.
Also in this edition, we analyse works by talented artists, Davide Balliano, Croce Taravella, Kerry Irvine and Misha Tyutyunik. Also featured in the L.I. Art section are four of their works inspired by the theme of revisiting the great concepts and classics of our society.
