INTERVIEW

Edito LUXE IMMO n°20

Février 2012

Dear Readers, Dear Partners,

February is a month when fantasy rules as the streets vibrate to the sound of carnivals and time stands still to give way to the party.

As for us, we could not resist introducing you to an outstanding exhibition in Rotterdam. Future Pass uncovers the works of 130 artists from all over the world inspired by the fantastical universe of the Mangas.

The designer and interior decorator Emmanuelle Legavre unveils at the end of February in the streets of Paris her first work of art; a giant keychain! The artist succeeds brilliantly in reinventing a famous English car, a vintage icon of the sixties, with great humour and a fresh eye. Luxe Immo is delighted to bring you this preview of a startling exhibit!

This month we also discovered the works of four amazing artists. The Benno je’NI duo explores the instinctive aspects of emotion through photography, and we also unveil the abstract landscapes of Annerike Dijkhuis, Jacob Dahlstrup’s Bananaboat and Daniel Arango’s Holy K movement.

In the L.I. ART Collection you will find our selection of works by these four artists which may tempt you to start your own collection or enrich the one you already have in your possession.

Sibylle Kraft, a passionate collector, reveals her secrets when it comes to purchasing that masterpiece which will make the difference. As someone who loves all the works she collects, she talks with great enthusiasm about how she unearths new artists.

The Principality again takes centre stage in the Monaco Special. This month: how to start up a business and invest in Monaco. The Monegasque economy is still relatively unknown on the international stage, despite being a dynamic force firmly looking ahead to the future.

Thierry Boutsen, the former Formula 1 driver and now a shrewd businessman in the aviation field, took the gamble, setting up a company and investing in Monaco 15 years ago. With great pride, he talks to us about his thriving enterprise, having just sold his 215th plane.

And of course we have a selection of superb properties in our real estate section, ranging from a sumptuous California-inspired villa in the hills of Nice, to a magnificent country home in Mouans Sartoux, or a beautiful chateau in the Périgord. From Monaco to Paris, via Corsica and Belgium, Luxe Immo offers you a tour of truly stunning properties.

A charming gourmet hotel-restaurant in the Var, luxury villas in Brussels, a splendid duplex facing the Invalides in Paris or the magnificent architect’s villa in Corsica – the choice is yours! Next month we invite you to discover Art Paris, the spring-time modern and contemporary art event – not to be missed.

 Happy reading,
David Dubois
